RIVER MOUNTAIN RETREAT

Join us for a week of crafts and nature immersion in our favourite, secluded mountains in the Alpujarras of Southern Spain.

We are hosting a 6 day natural craft retreat near Órgiva, Spain (1 hour from Granada).

The retreat takes place in an off-grid community in the mountains with exquisite view and access to the river.

We will be harvesting and weaving baskets with esparto, learn about syntropic agroforestry, forage wild herbs, and build with wild clay.

We will swim in the river, heat up the sauna, hike downstream to the local crafts market, and take a trip to Granada and visit a 500 year old ceramics studio, and a moorish hammam.

Some meals will be prepared by our in-house chef, Mette, and others will be prepared together. All meals will include herbs, fruits and vegetables from the land.

The retreat takes place in the off-grid community Union de los Rios, in the outskirts of Órgiva. Here there is a comfortable and spacious house with water, electricity and a fireplace. There are 5 double bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, two bathrooms and an amazing bathtub with view to the river. Check out the accomodation here.

The place also has: direct access to the riverbank, a clay sauna, a straw-bale music studio, a syntropic community forest garden, and a democratic school.

We will spend this week being nourished by the sun, the mountains and river, and receiving inspiration from the land, culture and local crafts.

The retreat includes accommodation in shared house (double rooms), all meals and workshops, dinner in Granada and Hammam. You will need to book your own transport.
